Strengths

My photographic strength: Photo ops where I can work with general composition.
My photographic weak point: Situational photography. Do not put pressure on me to capture moments, because then it ain't happening.

Most non-photographers don't even realize there is a difference between the two. In fact, there is all the difference in the world. I am no longer offering myself for event photography. Don't ask. I don't like it and it is not a major skill for me. I like to have more control than that. I see art shots as a whole, and I like to be able to identify elements. Lighting, composition, pose, setting, tone, feel, all that nifty shit.

Just something I was thinking about today. Everyone always asks me to do their parties, then they run around in sweatpants in a dark messy house and get angry at me when I can't make them look good. SHUT THE FUCK UP. That is all.

I am Jess. I freelance photography not because I think I am the best, but because I love it. I want to work with ordinary people, not just dramatic models, and see them as the art they are.
